Mosasaur Jaw Section with Unerupted Tooth

This is a section of jaw from a Mosasaur showing an unerupted tooth, which is evidence of polyphodonty, which means mosasaurs had many more than two sets of teeth in their lifetime.

The Main tooth has been reattached to the jaw, in order to show the original position.
